Why Roman numerals are tricky

Roman numerals use ordinary letters: I, V, X, L, C, D, and M. That means the game can find numeral sequences inside text that you did not intend to use as numerals. A normal word, month, country, or NATO term can accidentally change the product.

The safest approach is to place your deliberate Roman numerals in a clear section of the password and avoid adding extra Roman numeral letters near them. Isolation makes the result easier to inspect and repair.

How to target a product of 35

A product of 35 can be made with 5 times 7, so V and VII are easy chunks to understand. Another approach is to use XXXV, which represents 35 as a single numeral. The best choice depends on the rest of your password and whether those letters conflict with nearby text.

After every major edit, re-check whether any new I, V, X, L, C, D, or M characters appeared. This habit prevents a solved Roman numeral rule from breaking late in the game.
